European Soils & Arts Festival 2026
- 21–24 May 2026
- First edition, Pays de la Loire (Angers and nearby)
The first European Soils & Arts Festival sets out to lift the veil on the richness of the underground world and on the importance of preserving it, combining artistic and scientific approaches.
Soils, the foundation of all life, provide essential ecological services and functions. Yet they remain invisible, ignored, underestimated and threatened by human activity. The Festival is a reason to come together to make soils visible, intelligible and desirable, and to shed light on this collective, educational, social, political, cultural, artistic and scientific issue. We want to open doors through art and culture, spread new narratives and invent forms of action that can re-enchant our relationship with this vital element.
The Soils & Arts Festival brings together arts, sciences and outreach around soils, to share soil science in a sensitive and accessible way, making it lively, desirable and open to as many people as possible.
